Emotional Vampire
This project, made up of a single photoshoot, was born in my head in August of 2018, when I found out I was dealing with an emotional (or energetic) Vampire. I finally decided to face what I’ve been through by throwing all the emotion and pain into image in 2019. The colours and symbolism used are aimed at accentuate the negative emotions treated. I've chosen to present a naked subject to enhance feelings and helplessness of the victim.
"An Emotional Vampire is usually a personality that moves and interacts with us daily and we feel the influence of it without even realizing it. The phenomenon gives rise to energy dynamics so difficult to manage that they end up taking on their own life. To best exercise their subliminal power, they need two conditions: proximity and time. They need to establish emotional ties with the victim to lead them into their universe. Their skill consists in leveraging the weak, the empathic and the guilt of the victim, who often feels obliged to surrender his energy, his love, his protection and his resources. Thanks to this ascendant, the vampire weaves his imaginary web around people, to the point of trapping them mentally."
